2026 Bangdong Wild Purple Bud | Sheng Pu-erh
Yunnan, China
A rare, wild-grown pu-erh made from purple-tinted spring buds, hand-picked whole from old wild tea trees around Bangdong — a source known for some of the region's most sought-after high-mountain material. Output is naturally limited; buds like these aren't farmed at scale.
The purple hue comes from naturally high anthocyanin content in the young leaf, giving the brew a distinctive wild, fragrant character with a clean, identifiable profile. Harvest: 2026 (young sheng, 1–3 years).
Store sealed, ventilated, away from light and moisture.
