2023 Tulin Phoenix Wuliang Brick | Sheng Pu-erh

A raw (sheng) sibling to our [ripe Tulin Phoenix Wuliang brick](/shop/tulin-phoenix-wuliang-brick-2023) — same factory, same Wuliangshan mountain material, this time unfermented and pressed as sheng. Made from high-stem (gao gan) arbor tea, with fat, plump budsets and a translucent, amber-toned liquor; a full-bodied cup with a smoky note that mellows with airing, and a pronounced, lasting aftertaste typical of the Wuliang region's style.

Pressed in 2023, so this is still a young sheng — expect a sharper, more assertive character now, softening and deepening over the next several years of storage. Pressed as a small square brick, 150 g.

Store in a cool, ventilated spot away from strong odors, the same as any raw pu-erh meant to age.
